How to read a syringe correctly. This is the area where you screw on a needle (if you were giving an intramuscular injection etc.) or onto the iv hub of the patient’s iv to give a medication. Aim the tip of the syringe into the mouth and depress the barrel. Then from that line all the way through the needle is the correct volume of what you need, and no air.
